I recently went shopping at Urban Outfitters for some new blouses and found an awesome crinkle silk burgundy shirt. Ever since, I can’t stop thinking about how much I love the color! it’s so rich, but different than all the other reds and browns out there. Burgundy and gold might be my favorite combination, but even alone this color is fantastic.

Hair Trends: Voluntary Gray?
As I watched the Academy Awards on Sunday evening, I was taken by Kelly Obsourne’s hair color. I’ve seen it before on Fashion Police and other shows that she’s hosted, but it never occurred to me that her hair is truly a lavender gray…and that I absolutely adore it on her! Then…I realized that I’ve seen a ton of this hair color lately on models and in magazines/runways. Even one of Wildfox Couture’s model’s has the trend going on. It’s odd to see such silvery hair on a young person, but I do believe I actually love it!
Sunny Days
Happy Monday everyone! Although it was a cold weekend at least it was sunny and without snow. I saw several good movies this weekend that I highly recommend including, the Warrior, Something Borrowed and In Time. They’re all super different but well-done. I also made a fantastic grilled eggplant and goat cheese salad yesterday. Recipe here:
I also watched the Grammy’s last night, 30% for the movies and 70% for the fashion. I thought Michelle Williams, Gweneth Paltrow and Emma Stone looked absolutely stunning.
In other news, I am desperately trying to find new sunglasses! I have always had a hard time finding sunglasses that I like on, rather than just on the rack. Also, it’s hard to believe how expensive they can be and how many choices there are. Usually I don’t get overwhelmed by too many choices, but when it comes to sunglasses I can never decide. Below are some of my favorites right now but I’ll have to wait till I get to NY to try any of them on. Any suggestions or top picks?? Help wanted! xox

Friday’s Threads
Happy Weekend! This weeks’ look is inspired by Kate Bosworth’s outfit this week at the Burberry Prorsum show during London Fashion Week. It was very well put together and fun. The look below with my less-expensive replica!
Nailspiration
I paint my nails at least once a week because I like to change up the color and hate pealing nailpolish (mostly because, admittedly I eat it off). I recently got two awesome colors from urban outfitters for only 99 cents each and I’m thinking of ways to combine them (one is a salmon color and one is a silver glitter). I absolutely love nailpolish because doing your nails is the ultimately girly activity and it’s fun to coordinate with different outfits. As the weather gets warmer, I usually experiment with more “fun” colors. Below are some looks I’m dying to try! xo
PS-definitely check out this blog for some other great nail ideas!
Taming a Wildfox
One of my favorite clothing brands around is Wildfox Couture. I find that a lot of people on the east coast don’t know about this California company, but I absolutely love the image of their company as well as their laid back clothes that make me wish I lived in California. Tons of celebrities sport Wildfox shirts and I thought I’d highlight some of my favorite pieces from their brand below. I think their clothes are perfect for warm weekend wear and if anyone is going to Coachella in a few months, you’ll definitely want to check out their selection. They also have an awesome blog that I read everyday. Enjoy!

Just saying…
As much as I love three-day weekends, for some reason the day after is usually sheer insanity. Today was no exception. I went from class to clinic from clinic to observe a criminal trial, then home to do work. I took a break for dinner and now…more work. The madness in all of it is that this seems normal to me. Mostly because everyone around me also has insane law student schedules and so one person is just busier than the next. I thought today would be a good day for some calming words so I posted some below. I think I may have gone overboard on the amount of inspiration I found, but I really like all of these! Ok, back to work! xo
Spotlight on One Shoulder Dresses
Happy President’s Day!! It’s so nice to have an extra day of vacation today. This weekend was super productive and fun. My parents came to visit, I helped my best friend assemble her wedding invitations and saw two awesome movies (The Help, and Catfish). I highly recommend both. I actually have a ton of events coming up between April and June and am on the hunt for some new dresses. I never really wore one-shouldered dresses, but have seen some lately that I love. I put together a collage of some favorites as inspiration for my next shopping trip. Enjoy! xo
